Mister Man's First Birthday!

Gideon had all kinds of family to help him celebrate his first birthday. All of the Doans that were in town joined the small numbers of Richardsons. All together, I think we had 27 people here at one time or another... yeah! good times.

Gideon thoght the cake was pretty cool!
He like his little mini cake the best.

This shows the progression. His shirt will never be the same. Oh well, It was his first birthday. We had a lovely evening and thank everyone who joined in the festivities. We love you all!

Getting ready for Gideon's Big Day...

Grampa is entertaining Gideon while we waited for his guests.
They look pretty cute.

Grampa was trying to put the track together and
Gid managed to take it a part faster.

Gideon liked his Birthday balloons.

Gideon's First Ride in Grampa's Wagon...

I love these shots... not sure which I like the best...

Boo wasn't sure she thought this was fun.

Gideon was lovin' it though.

Look at this sweet birthday boy... I just love him to pieces.

On the Second Day of Christmas...

Everyone had a great time on Christmas morning opening their gifts. The three gents; Jacob, Zachary, & Alexander were loving their new slippers. Santa got Jacob icemelt for his windows... I guess that was all he deserved... jk, Really he got a commercial grade mike, amp, and boom stand for recording his music. He was pretty pumped. He sure does a beautiful job with his music. Alexander got his new skateboard, a warm fuzzy blanket for his bed, and money... and Zach got new aftershave, a game and of course money. What is it with money? As you can tell Misty loved her new sculpture and face stuff. She gets the good stuff. Santa brought me a new Shiatsu massager... it's awesome, but a little crazy. Brent got a better mike than Jake of course... you know... more power or some such... it's a guy thing I'm sure.

As you can see, Gideon had a great time opening his gifts. He loved taking his train apart... he could do so faster than Grampa could assemble it... it was pretty funny. All in all it was a great day. Very quiet and pleasant, which was good because half of our bunch were fighting colds... oh well, what can you expect with our crazy Missouri weather? It did give us all a good excuse to watch movies and veg... which worked out great for me.

On the First Day of Christmas...

We had a lovely afternoon at the Richardson House. Poor Zachary had to go to work right after our late lunch (mmmmm Hunans)... it stinks being a working man... Thats life in the fast lane though. Saddly some how or other there are no shots of Alexander... probably because he shuns the camera... where did that come from? idk.... anywho, It was a very pleasant afternoon. We had all of Brent's family over. You would think with us all living fairly close this would happen more often... for some reason there always seems to be something standing in the way... life at the speed of sound. Thank goodness for holidays like Christmas that bring families together even through difficulties. We love you all and were so happy to have everyone with us.

Merry Christmas Everyone... May God bless and keep you in his care.

All our Love, the Richardsons

Now, on to Gid's awesome, chick magnet, new do... Is he cute or what? Uncle Zach helped Gid out with this awesome hairdo. We are going to start him out early, then no do will be to bold for him... he he he. Notice he is standing in the bottom center shot... he looks too tiny to be standing on his own... hard to believe he will be a year old on Saturday.

I think there will be a party at our house on Saturday - Dec. 29th... hmmmm, funny how that matches his birth date.... more later... you might check with his mommy to find out for sure, but I think that's maybe the deal. The time has not be set in stone yet, but I think it will be late afternoon, just cake and beverages. Everyone, and I do mean everyone... this is your invitation... yes, that means you Sarah, Natalie, Hilary(if you are still in town) and Super Awesome GrandMomma Doan and your whole dang families too. All we need is your presence, no presents required. Hope this Grandma is not in trouble.

We hope to see you all.

Kearney HS Old World Feast

The Kearney HS Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Glee Choir and 9th Grade Choir put on an Old World Christmas Feast. You can see Zach is looking quite dapper. They served a four course meal and performed throughout the entire evening. Dad and Phyllis came to town for the evening and joined in the festivity. They also celebrated their 1st Anniversary, Dec. 13th, which just happened to be the day of the feast. So help us wish them a very happy 1 year anniversary. We love you Dad and sweet Phyllis.

A Little Ice and Snow

It wasn't full light yet when I took these.
This is the best I could do.

I think this picture seemed a little sad...
no more use 'til next year

Sunday evening at home...

Here is one handsome little man in his church clothes Mommy and Daddy got him. I couldn't get him to sit still long enough to get a close up, but trust me, he was stylin'.
Once he was ready for bed, Grandma had to get her kisses in. Love those sweet baby kisses.
Okay, I'm not really sure what this face is all about. I think it is just normal Zach acting a little goofy. This was right before his haircut. It was a little on the long side, or maybe a lot on the long side. He's a mess.
Alex played a few riffs for us. He is getting pretty darn good considering he has not had any lessons yet. Thank goodness for Jake and Alex's ability to pick things up quickly. He sure is loving his guitar and we enjoy listening to him.

More later.... keep on blogging.
