Just a few more Jadie shots...

Forgot to add these additional shots of Jade and Tim's Wedding. I love my silly, wonderful, marvelous, stupendous, super good looking family. Oh, did I forget to mention how incredibly modest and humble they are also.... he he he. Our crazy, long, sleepless four days in Utah. Oh... check out Jade's fake cake in the center shot... all the little boys wanted to know... when are you gonna cut that cake? Next thing I know... someone took a bite out of it... boy weren't they surprised when they got a mouth full of fondant and Styrofoam... he he he.

Here are a few shots of the mountains and the wind machines, oh and the crazy flame in the sky. Pretty much other than these, it was flat, flat, flat... and dark... and did I say... really, really long... but... Gid was super and the rest of the babies didn't complain too much either.

Halloween Craziness...

I couldn't resist adding a few more pumpkin pictures. As you can see, Jake, Misty, and Gid had a perfectly enjoyable evening carving pumpkins. Super cute family! But... who ever heard of eating raw pumpkin? Not me, and I guarantee you my children would have run screaming if asked to taste it. It took an act of congress to get them to taste roasted pumpkin seeds and they're awesome. Gid did seem to love it as his Mommy's pictures have shown. What a nut job. But he is our little nut job and we sure love him. How could you not love this little cutie pie?

Here is one of the photos Grandpa took of our little hobgoblins just before they left for the evenings festivities at the Doan house. Don't they look cute? Gid is a little monkey and that is certainly fitting... I mean his favorite food is bananas after all... and if it can be climbed I'm pretty sure he will try. Misty is supposed to be some type of circus clown... makeup was never completed before she left... I think she is a punker clown... yeah, that's the ticket. She looked awfully cute also.... and I'm not prejudice at all.... I love all my babies, big and little.

Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple

Saturday afternoon between the wedding and the reception, Renee & Jeff and Brent & I went for a short drive to see the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple. It is so beautiful and peaceful, plus the weather was glorious as well. It was just perfect for walking around the temple and snapping these shots. Brent was the photographer and did a fine job. I even liked one of the four shots he snapped of me and that is saying a lot... you won't get to see it though. I don't like any picture that much.

A Walk in the park...

Tamra and I spent a lovely afternoon walking through Watkins Mill State Park. The weather was glorious, couldn't have asked for better (80 with a cool breeze). This made for absolutely perfect walking weather.... oh and picture taking weather also. I loved all the colors of Fall. Tamra and I truly enjoyed our day together. Love my sisters.

This first shot makes me think of the Sacred Grove... the Sunlight coming through the trees...Serene Beauty. I can see how a young boy would be drawn to the woods to find a quiet tranquil moment to commune with the Lord. I know that whenever I am surrounded by Nature I too feel closer to the Lord. I am reminded once again of his generosity and love. He provides us with such beauty all around us, if we but open our eyes.
Here are some random people who happened to be handy when I wanted to get these shots. I particularly like the random person in the center shot... he he he... No really, I thought this was such a nice picture of Tamra. She has such a pretty smile. I might have worn her out walking, but she never once complained. She said the good thing about this trail and the pace I was keeping with all my "Frieda Fotog - Picture Taking" she had plenty of opportunities to rest. ps... the Frieda Fotog is Brent's words for picture taking... I don't know... some family thing.

Anywho... I loved the shots with the little boy in the red checked shirt. He was having so much fun. It was so sweet how his father stayed so close, watching over him and keeping him safe.... Much like our Savior and Father in Heaven do.... This also brought back many happy childhood memories of summer vacations in Arkansas. We were right there in the creek with my dad, collecting minnows, crawdads, and hopefully - no snakes... Then off to the river for some good old fashioned family fun.... swimming, fishing... and a weenie roast to finish it off.... sweet memories

Here are a few more random shots.

You know me... I'm a sucker for texture and color.
I loved the mushrooms in the center of the top.
(Tamra pointed them out)

My Heavenly Father Loves Me...

My Heavenly Father loves me, I have to shout and say!

bright early in the morning, until the brink of day,

he bringeth forth a stellar sun, to warm me ray by ray,

then stars at night, he scatters far, wherever I may lay,

and prophets wise and noble, to lead me on my way,

but more than this, he gave his son, who saved me from the fray

though you might start to wonder, I know that come what may

My Heavenly Father Loves Me, Through Each and Every Day!

Our sick little man...

Even when he's sick, he still my special boy. However, he sure was giving Momma a fit when she was trying to give him his breathing treatment. Didn't seem to know or care that it was for his own good. Though his mask may look like a cute dinosaur, Gid was not impressed. You can tell by looking at his eyes that he was just not himself. We were all so sad and worried. Thank goodness, he is doing much better now, though he still has an ugly cough. Poor baby inherited Great Grandma's and Mommy's asthma. We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father that he is finally improving. Another week or two and he should be back to his normal active self, yeah! By Monday evening he was getting back into the swing of things with a little extra something special to finish off his meal, He thought a fistful of dirt or two would finish things off nicely. And quite proud of himself he was... we got a good laugh, then momma cleaned up the mess. Yeah for mommas too!

Momma and Daddy's Marker...

Renee did such a beautiful job selecting the marker for Mom's and Dad's grave site. It was very cloudy and windy today and this is the best shot I was able to get. I had to clear off all the stuff that the wind had blown across the marker.

I went for a walk this morning, and as I walked along the country roads my thoughts turned to our sweet momma. I sang your song, momma, as I walked along and gathered your flowers and knew that you were walking along right beside me. (I wished I had been able to gather "armfuls of blossoms of blue") There were however, these tiny little daisies (which always made you smile) and the dreaded yellow ragweed that plagued your allergies through numerous fall seasons. But I looked at these yellow weeds and thought how lovely they would look with the tiny little daisies. I know that where you are, you are no longer bothered by these weeds and would see the beauty they created with the tiny little daisies. I know that you are smiling down, looking on and admiring the lovely bouquet they created.

I miss you and daddy, but I am happy that you are together again. I know he was surely missing you like no other. I look forward to a far off time when we can embrace once again. Thank you for all your smiles, support, and life lessons. Thank you for the joy you shared, for the good in all you were able to see, for your never ending testimony which you shared willingly, for your love of life, your shining example, and most of all for being you and loving me.

Ella Bella...

Ella had a serious case of the ho hums...

Then she saw Ozzie Kitty...

Pretty much after that she was all smiles... Ella says to tell momma she loves her and can't wait to see her and baby Jason.

She is holding the bouquet of flowers I picked on my morning walk. I thought they would look lovely on Mom and Dad's marker. So later today, Brent & I will go visit and leave them.

Ella is watching "Jungle Book" and seems quite engrossed. I need to shower desperately after my morning walk, but fear Ella has me fooled and is waiting for the opportunity to get into something(that's what I hear her modus operandi is). Misty had to take Gideon back to the doctors this morning, he has been so very sick, so Brent and I are keeping miss Ella. They won't let Gid have any cough medicine or decongestant and he is miserable. Poor sweet sick baby and poor mommy and daddy who aren't getting any sleep. I am anxiously awaiting either a call or for them to get home so I know how baby is.

Rogers Children Baptized!

Here is a great photo of our dear friends Owen and Tamra Rogers. They are pictured with their three newest family members and the missionaries just prior to the children's baptism. Today Edward, Samantha (closest to Owen), and Cassidi's (closest to Tamra) adoption became final. So in addition to becoming officially Rogers they were able to be baptized and become members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was beautiful, wonderful, moving experience and the children were so excited.

Both the Elders and the Sisters taught the children when they came to be a part of the Rogers family. With the split of the ward, the Elders were moved out of Kearney Third and we gained our sweet Sisters. The Rogers will be sealed in the Nauvoo Temple on the 13th and both the Elders and the Sisters were able to get special permission from the Mission President to travel to Nauvoo and attend the sealing.
I think this is an especially sweet photo of Owen with the children. Samantha is 13 (on Owen's left), Edward is 15, and sweet Cassidi is 11. (She wants to be in young women so bad, but will have to wait till May when she turns 12) We include her every chance we can.

I Love this photo, even though everyone is looking in different directions. There were about five different people taking pictures and it was difficult to get everyone looking at you. We were so lucky to be a part of their special day. I am so glad that I have been blessed to be able to serve with Tamra and gain the opportunity to grow close to this wonderful family.
