We Need Your Prayers!!!

If you have seen Misty's blog, you already know some of the story. My niece, Jade Ellison Ranagan, went into the hospital on Sunday/Monday morning and delivered little Timothy "TJ" James Ranagan at 30 1/2 weeks due to Preeclampsia/H.E.L.L.P. Syndrome on 10/15/08 at 10:25 p.m. Believe it or not little TJ is doing very well, tho very small at 3 lbs 13 oz & 16 inches... he is off the respirator, IV and feeding tube... they are giving him oxygen through a c-pap machine to allow him to expend less energy... so pretty much he is doing great under the circumstances, but is by no means out of the woods.

However Miss Jade is seriously ill... after delivery her platelet count was at 61 with a very elevated liver enzyme, then her platelet count went to 65, then 85... we were joyfully thinking things were heading in the right direction, then yesterday Jade developed a fever, her blood pressure continued to rise, her platelets fell to 36 and her liver enzymes already dangerously high, quadrupled. Needless to say, she is seriously ill and in need of prayers on hers, TJ's and her family's behalf.

Our family has organized a family fast for tomorrow, Friday - Sept. 19th and would appreciate all prayers and fasting on their behalf.

Thank you in advance for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers that have been extended to our family.

All my love,
Kimberly

Sister Jennette K. Bowen is Home!!!

Here is a picture of Tamra (the happy momma), Me (tired auntie), Jeni (Uber Sexy Return Missionary), Ashelyn (super sweet baby cousin), and Misty (Cousin, also known as sister from another mother). Jeni looked radiant and so did her momma. Jeni's plane was way early and we were not... poor thing, Hyrum got lost on the way to the airport. We thought we would be early, not expecting her plane to be earlier still. But as you can see lots of smiles all around.... any who, more pictures later.

Hurricane Ike Hits Kearney, MO...

So yesterday finished with a rainbow and today began with the winds. Gotta love nature. Notice the Richardson Wonder Pond is almost full to the brink... too much more rain, which is surely coming and it might just go over the top of the dam... I think that would be a first... It does look so much nicer with a little water in it tho... Has to be said... I wonder how long it will last this time? If this weather continues... who knows...

Gotta go get the Fam ready for church... more later.

Awe Inspiring Rainbow....

Here is a picture of nature at its best. This rainbow was absolutely awesome, it came on the tail end of all the rain we've had over the past two days. I wish we could have got the whole thing in one frame, but this was the best we could do. Pretty sure, Misty and Jake will be blogging this also, they probably beat me getting it posted, but that's okay it was totally over my house... to bad, no pot of gold tho'.

The Haunted House Widow...

So many years ago... okay not so many, there was this woman that became a widow each haunted house season... which would start the end of July and proceed all the way through till the second week of November (clean up, ya know)... With the sale of said haunted house, shouts of joy were heard near and far, at home and in the town of the "Widow" for she was thinking "Widow no More!!!"... what a silly, silly woman... Now for shorter periods of time she is a Widow once more as her sweet and ultra talented spouse goes off to far off cities... ok, Omaha... for consultant work on a Haunted House... and there is talk... and at this point I'm pretty sure it's just talk of a NEW and IMPROVED Haunted House coming to a town near you... well that is, if you live in or around KC, MO... of course I might be single in the near future if that were to occur... I won't really be quite that unhappy... heck I put up with it for almost 20 years, and made some dear, dear friends because of the last one, and had a ton of fun on occasion, so I'm sure I would survive a new one, even if it makes me a little crazy (ok, a lot crazy, and a little weepy and blue too)... and leaves me as the HH WIDOW for months on end... oh well... more later.

Ashelyn's Dresses...

Here we go... this is much better. Real camera and all. Three down and the forth dress is in the works. I think little miss thang likes dresses. She got all smiley while we were trying them on for the final fitting. She is so much fun... kinda like playing dress up with barbies.

More Chicago Fun...

I can't believe I forgot to put this picture up... The guys were sitting waiting for the train and I don't know for some reason this shot popped into my head... so being nice guys and humoring me... we have... Speak no Evil, See no Evil, and Hear no Evil... I probably got them in the wrong order... but I liked it... It's going to go on my wall of fame.
Here are just a few move random shots of Chicago. Zach absolutely fell in love with the R2D2 mailbox. So of course we had to get a picture. Then some man pointed out the sign for the Beginning of the Famous Route 66, so I had to get a picture of that too... Brent's cousin, Linda, has a great Antique store on Route 66 in Lebanon, MO... so family ties, sorta.... the shot in the bottom left is one of the cool buildings and happens to be where the came up with the names for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... It has the names across the top edge of the building.... so that's it in terms of pictures from Chi Town, but we loved it and I am ready to go again.

Princess Dress w/ Matching Hair Bow...

(see picture above)
So this is dress number two with its matching hair bow, yup made by hand. I can't wait to get real pictures of Miss Ashelyn wearing them. The will look mucho better with our cutie patootie modeling it. Misty brought Ashelyn over last night so we could try the first dress on her and I could do the final touches. She is wearing it to Sarah's ward today because little Jason is getting his name and blessing!!! We are so happy for the Galbraith family.
I took a close up hoping for a little detail to show through... dang camera phone takes tiny, tiny pictures.
Had to hand stitch every flower... wanted to make sure they would lay flat. Yay, Yay for little girly, girls... well at least I hope she will be a girly, girl... she will always be my little princess.

Made for Ashelyn...

I'm making this little pinafore for Miss Ashelyn. It has a matching hair bow cuz her mommy likes them. Sorry for the lame picture, but BJ took the camera with him this weekend so I had to use my phone. Hopefully we'll get a picture with Ashelyn wearing it later. Stitched every stitch by hand except for surging the edges. You would think with three sewing machines at least one would be working, but not so much... they all need to be cleaned and tuned up.... oh well, that's how my Grandma would have done it anyway... so here it is... still doing the final handwork. I hope to have it ready for missy to wear it tomorrow.... fun, fun.

Yup... It's Official...

There is no doubt these two are related. Gid's face was definitely rounder (he looked like a little Orson Wells). I sure do hope Ashelyn keeps Jake's stellar eyes like Gid has. I'm sure you will get tired of my picture comparisons, but I love seeing them. So.... I guess you must suffer through.
