Court Warming Moments...

Zach and Miss Taylor are all dressed up ready to attend Kearney's Court Warming. Zach was sporting Jake's awesome silver clip-on-tie, but took it off before picking up Taylor. Zach wore a pink shirt to go with Taylor's pretty pink shoes and awesome earrings. They have so much fun together and Taylor manages to help keep Zach in line.

Say "Cheese"...

What a silly little man.
He was pretty much lovin' his snack mix.
Too bad he had to eat it off the floor.
Bad Grandma!

Gideon Walking Tall!!!

Yeah for the Gid Man!!

Olives & babies...

Yeah, so this is 4 1/2 months prego!
What the heck! That's one tiny little bump.

Gid takes after his daddy and LOVES olives.

Pretty much he would stuff them in faster than you
could give them to him.

I'm not sure he got the whole finger thing.
He seemed to enjoy it anyway.

ps... he's looking pretty studdly in his jeans and polo.

Oh Happy Day....

That is how I feel... pretty much walking on sunshine... isn't that a funny phrase? But that is truly how I feel. I feel so incredibly blessed with Misty and Jake's news. Who woulda thunk it? New grandbaby in 4 1/2 months! Yeah, Yeah! I know Misty blogged about it, but I just had to say how happy, thrilled, ecstatic, over-the-moon, yeah pretty much all of these. We sure love those kids! My girlfriend said when Grandchildren come in multiples that means I'm old... Ha! That just makes me lucky. Have a super HAPPY DAY!

Apparently They Start Young...

So apparently they start young... at least I know mine did and so has this little boy. He has this facination with things with buttons, whether it be a remote or possibly a cell phone. He likes to call people when you least suspect it. Sometimes he even gets it to his mouth right. But whatever the case, He sure loves them. He was calling his daddy here. He loves to open the phone and see the light come on and the picture appear. He'll even tell who it is. What a charmer.

Far West... and other historic sites

The Not So LDS Temple... or what used to be called the RLDS Temple, where they hold daily prayer meetings for peace. It made for a pretty picture in the sunshine.
Alex at one of the scenic overlooks at Adam Ondi Ahman.
Last weekend Brent, the boys, and I went on a LDS historic drive. We went to see the Independence Visitors Center that had been recently renovated. We went through the entire tour and had a wonderful time. I love both the family rooms upstairs and the new pioneer rooms downstairs. We had the sweetest sister missionary take us through. It was a wonderful moving experience.

Then from there we drove to Far West. I am ashamed to say I had never been prior to this. I loved the tranquil moments in the sunshine and snow. The weather was perfect... close to 60... the sun was shining and it was absolutely beautiful. It's so exciting to know that some day a temple will be on that site and that it was selected by the Lord so many years ago.

Our final stop took us to Adam Ondi Ahman. There was still quite a bit of snow there. It made for a pretty messy drive, but Brent, Alex, and I thought it was well worth the drive. Zach had been there before and was ready to go home after Far West. It was a great day and I'm sorry it took us so long to do this. Both areas were full of beauty and peace. I can see why so many saints have been drawn to this area. I look forward to my next visit in the spring.

This is for you... Renee & Wendy

Here is my updated living room pictures. Notice the temple, I painted the mat and frame... Love it! I liked doing the abstract picture collages on the wall... you can add pictures and update as you go. It's been a lot of fun. Now that I experimented and found out it won't ruin the mats to paint them, I have a bunch more work to do.

Sweet baby...

Gideon loves to snuggle up next to Grampa when he's resting after a busy day of work.
Most of the time he is very gentle and loving... other times, he's all boy. I think he's preparing to call his daddy... one of his new favorite things to do.
Here he is showing Grampa what his new duck will do... it talks...(Grampa gave him his AFLAC duck) He thinks it's cool and copies it... Aflac, Aflac...AFLAC!! He's pretty big stuff and makes us giggle.
