Picture Perfect...

Here is our sweet little girl... picture perfect. She is getting to be such a big girl already... I can't believe she is already 5 weeks old... It goes by so quickly. We sure love this little miss.

ps... make sure you scroll down to see Gideon drumming his little heart out! I posted him first and I don't want you to miss him... He never fails to bring me joy!

Momma Mia - Gotta See It...

If you haven't had a chance to see this movie... Go! It was amazing and I loved it both times I saw it this weekend... first with my sweet Misty yesterday morning on our girls day and again this morning with my sister, Tamra. We loved it, It was so funny and fun... gotta see it, hav'ta own it, bought the sound track... ps... the second time I saw it, it was real hard not to sing right along... What can I say... I LOVED IT!!!

Alex... Rockin' Out!

Brent snapped this picture with his new phone! I loved it... Alex loves playing his guitar and he is getting so good!

He's Got Rhythm in His Genes...

Oh my goodness, this little boy is seriously going to be a drummer. He is a hoot! He will pick up anything and turn it into a drumstick... and watch out, if you don't want him pounding away on something. So G'ma Richardson found a box he could turn in to a drum. Saved my table, walls, china hutch... yay, you get the picture... but he seriously does have rhythm in his genes. You'll have to excuse the sideways video... G'ma goofed... didn't realize I couldn't flip it like I do pictures.

Beautiful Watkin's Mill State Park...

Wendy and Joey love our little Watkin's Mill State Park and so do we. Here are just a few shots Brent and I got as we walked the 3.8 mile trail. The weather was perfect that day as you can see. The Canada Geese were looking rather stately and made for some beautiful shots. I thought the picture of the of the fishing boat looked like something that would be on a post card. Any way, this is our state park and we love it. I am hoping Miss Sarah will take our family pictures here. I already have the spot picked out and know what we'll be wearing. How's that for preparing. Hope everyone will be up for a little walk tho. It's about a third of the way in. Well, we'll just have to see.

Family Resemblance...

So there is no doubt that Misty's sweet babies look like their parents. I just had to show these pictures, this is what made Misty decide maybe they did resemble her a little. In the top shot Misty is about a month older then little Ashelyn, but I think you will see the family resemblance. Then in the bottom shot, I'm pretty sure it was taken around her 2nd birthday. Look at the face shape, smile, eye shape and little turned up nose.... Crazy! Although by this age Misty had already started to really slim down. I would love to get some old photos of Jacob also and do the same thing. So much fun.

ps... Didn't Misty make a cute little present? We all thought so... notice the tongue sticking out... what is that all about?

Found Family Fun...

Brent found these old pictures the other day!
I love them. You can tell all of the cousins
loved one another. It was great and the cool
thing is, they still do!

Here we have another photo. Hyrum was all
smiles. You can see Misty thought he was
something else, she had to keep an eye on him.

I loved this shot of Hyrum and Jeni.
They look so sweet together. What a duo.

Hyrum & Jane Bowen - July 12, 2008

Handsome Hyrum and his groomsmen waiting for his lovely bride to be... John's in green and looking pretty handsome also.
This is the only shot I was able to get during the wedding and I was never able to get a good shot of the bride... my hands were shaking and I couldn't get the camera to focus... bummer.
I was able to get this picture of Tamra looking stunning with the groom. Hyrum was so excited when he saw his momma... He told her she looked AMAZING!!! I totally agreed, she did!
Here is a really sweet shot of Tamra and Wendy. They both looked so beautiful... I thought it was so nice how their outfits complimented each others... not planned at all... just lucked out that way... mine would have been a nice contrast also, but I was behind the camera as usual... how I prefer it... so no shot of me with the girls... but we sure had fun dolling Tamra up for the festivities.... I think she enjoyed it also... especially when she realized she had dropped two dress sizes when we went to shop for her outfit... woo hoo!! That would make anyone happy.

Family fun...

Here are a few more shots of the family... the shot in the upper right hand corner was taken the other night when Brent's Mom's uncle David was over. He was so happy to get to hold Miss Ashelyn. I love the shot of Brent and Gideon... They looked so handsome together. The shot on the bottom right of Tonya holding Ashelyn is very sweet also... this was the first time she got to see our little sweetie. I didn't get near enough pictures, but I really liked the few I did.

Dew Drops, Rain Drops, & Fog...

This is what I saw when I looked out my sliding glass door at 6 a.m. this morning. There was a hazy fog that covered everything in dew! Every thing looked scrubbed clean and was so pretty.
I loved the blend of colors. I love the beauties of nature... not that you haven't read this before... nothing new, just something I am eternally grateful for.
You can see the dew drops on my Hydrangea! I am so excited that it is finally blooming. This is the one I planted last year and it was a little late to bloom, but it has tripled in size from last year. I can't wait to see the growth of another year.
And this is my foggy dawn shot of the Richardson Wonder Pond that is totally waterless, but glorious none the less. It is one of my favorite tranquil spots. Brent mowed a path all the way around the empty pond... well empty of water any way... then I mowed a path right down into the middle of it. You can't tell but the entire bottom is covered in wild flowers.... There are outcroppings of rock ledges it really truly is quite lovely.

Can You Say "CRAZY"???

Yup! That's what we are. Well, at least that's what BJ is... CRAZY!!!
He thought it would be really neat to run a Fireworks stand.
It was something HE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO...
Whatever, but do it we did, and we even survived it.

You'll have to ask him about the tent getting struck by lightening.
Didn't seem to dampen his enthusiasm tho.
So Yeah, pretty much we are crazy! What's next?

Jacob is So Very Talented...

I took this picture of the awesome shirt Jake designed and made for Cameron, MO Community Theater's upcoming show. He did such a great job. They look awesome! He had to hand draw the girl to get her to come out right for his screen. He rocks!

Gettin' Some Lovin'

Gideon was soooo tired. All he needed was his teddy and grandma to rock him to sleep. He sure loves this scruffy little teddy. It's his very favorite. He will snuggle right up to it and go to sleep. He is such a sweet boy... He was gettin' some teddy lovin'.
Caught this really cute picture of Misty and Sweet Ashelyn... she sure looked like she had something to say. Misty gettin' some Ashelyn Lovin'.
Misty just loves to sit and look at her. I thought it was so fun... here I was sitting and watching my baby, watching her baby... huh, who woulda thunk it? My good friend Anita said once I have grandchildren in the multiples that means I'm getting old. I say if this is what getting old is, I'll take it. I like the perks.
After I had snuggled with Gid and got him all settled down for his nap I got to sneak a kiss from Miss Ashelyn. She is such a pretty little thing. We sure are enjoying both of our sweet babies. Gotta love the baby lovin'.
