I Miss You Sweetie!!!

I Miss You Sweetie,
I Miss Your Snore,
When Your Away,
My Life's a chore!

Might think I joke,
But it's no pun,
When your away,
Life not as fun!

Pretty bad, but what can I say... I struggle.

ps... I took these pictures myself... Now that is bad...
So the angle is goofy, my arms aren't quite long enough.

Alex Rocks!!!

So to please me, and to show me he could, Alex played Stairway to Heaven.

Then Alex played a couple of other songs for me. He is getting to be very good. He enjoys learning so much. Oh and check out his new guitar.

Two Wild & Crazy Guys...

So the guys thought they were looking pretty cool. Zach took Alex for a ride before he took the car back to Tailor's dad. He wanted to take me for a ride also, but I said I thought he just needed to go ahead and take it back while our luck was holding out... I really, really, really do not like to drive other peoples vehicles... I don't care who the car belongs to... It's just a thing with me... I'm sure if something can go wrong, it will... and while it's in my possession. But it was very kind for Tailor's dad to share his vehicle and to trust in our Zachary. Zach and Tailor had a great time.

Kearney Homecoming 2008...

What a cute couple!!!

So you can see Zach and Tailor were really excited to have mom take pictures. I wasn't letting them out of the house without snapping at least one shot... They looked so awesome... I know I'm prejudice, but what can I say... You can see Zach is like... Snap the picture already.

So yup... Tailor's dad let Zach drive his car to dinner on the Plaza and homecoming.... Can anyone say "CRAZY!"... I know they look decidedly happier standing in front of this way sweet ride... but come on... He has only been driving for a year... Tailor's dad is much nicer than I am... I told Zach he couldn't take my car... I think I'm supposed to feel guilty now... not so much... just worried... Please don't let anything happen to the car.

Here is a cute shot of them with the a side shot of the car... Misty says "I'm pretty sure when I went to homecoming we drove Jake's Geo."... They do look pretty snazzy tho.

New Developments...

So with a preemie as I'm sure many of you are aware, there are often set backs and new developments. Little TJ has had to undergo two blood transfusions since Sunday. From what I understand, his bones are so little they can not produce enough blood.

In addition, they have found there to be too much cerebral fluid on TJ's brain... very, very serious issue. At this point the family was told it is a waiting game... meaning they will not try to relieve the pressure by draining off part of the fluid. Apparently the infant brain does most of its maturing from the 26th week of gestation on... His little brain got shorted by a good 7 1/2 weeks if you consider 38 weeks full gestation. If things do not improve the fluid on his brain can lead to brain damage and ultimately cerebral palsy. We would appreciate if you would continue to keep Jade, Tim & Timothy James "TJ" Ranagan in your prayers. Please pray for the Doctors to have full clarity of mind and to be drawn to the proper course of action.

We love you and appreciate all the support we have received to date. We know that we can count on our extended family in times like these.

Miss Jade & TJ Update...

I borrowed this picture from my sister's blog...

Woo Who!!! Jade's platelet count was up to 96 this morning. They were finally able to remove the epidural and she should be able to go home this evening after another round of antibiotics that they will start around 3 p.m. So good news all around.

This is just another testament to the power of prayer. We are so blessed to know that through our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ all things are made possible. Once again, thank you, thank you to all who prayed on our family's behalf. We love and appreciate each and everyone of you.

To the best of my knowledge, Little "TJ" will still be in the NICU for 30-45 days from his delivery... So Jade will still be spending most of her time at the hospital... she should hopefully be able to rest better at home tho.... I will let you know as we receive more information.

Missing One Another's Calls....

I know many of you are wanting more information on Miss Jade and her sweet family... or at least I know I am. The last time I spoke with anyone was early yesterday... at that point Jade's platelet count was a 58 and they were hopeful it would continue to rise so she could go home today.... When Misty spoke with Jade in the afternoon, no new changes, so it wasn't looking very promising for leaving the hospital today.... Wendy and I missed one another's calls, so I don't know if there was a later change or not. We will keep you posted and once again thank you to everyone who participated in our family's fast and prayers. We love you all!

Jeni Pics...

I loved this shot of our silly girls... They were so excited to see one another. I love how much Misty had sisters in all of her cousins. That brings my sweet sisters all so much closer.
Beautiful sisters, with momma peeking in the background.
Big brother, Hyrum, with the uber sexy return missionary... there is talk of a return missionary in AZ that has a thing for our beautiful return missionary... we'll see just how serious he is.
Tamra and her sweet girl. We were sure glad to be a part of her family home coming. We are all so proud of Miss Jeni.

Jade, Tim & TJ Ranagan...

Check out Wendy's Blog for more information and current TJ photos. Thank you everyone for your love and support.

We Need Your Prayers!!!

If you have seen Misty's blog, you already know some of the story. My niece, Jade Ellison Ranagan, went into the hospital on Sunday/Monday morning and delivered little Timothy "TJ" James Ranagan at 30 1/2 weeks due to Preeclampsia/H.E.L.L.P. Syndrome on 10/15/08 at 10:25 p.m. Believe it or not little TJ is doing very well, tho very small at 3 lbs 13 oz & 16 inches... he is off the respirator, IV and feeding tube... they are giving him oxygen through a c-pap machine to allow him to expend less energy... so pretty much he is doing great under the circumstances, but is by no means out of the woods.

However Miss Jade is seriously ill... after delivery her platelet count was at 61 with a very elevated liver enzyme, then her platelet count went to 65, then 85... we were joyfully thinking things were heading in the right direction, then yesterday Jade developed a fever, her blood pressure continued to rise, her platelets fell to 36 and her liver enzymes already dangerously high, quadrupled. Needless to say, she is seriously ill and in need of prayers on hers, TJ's and her family's behalf.

Our family has organized a family fast for tomorrow, Friday - Sept. 19th and would appreciate all prayers and fasting on their behalf.

Thank you in advance for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers that have been extended to our family.

All my love,
Kimberly

Sister Jennette K. Bowen is Home!!!

Here is a picture of Tamra (the happy momma), Me (tired auntie), Jeni (Uber Sexy Return Missionary), Ashelyn (super sweet baby cousin), and Misty (Cousin, also known as sister from another mother). Jeni looked radiant and so did her momma. Jeni's plane was way early and we were not... poor thing, Hyrum got lost on the way to the airport. We thought we would be early, not expecting her plane to be earlier still. But as you can see lots of smiles all around.... any who, more pictures later.

Hurricane Ike Hits Kearney, MO...

So yesterday finished with a rainbow and today began with the winds. Gotta love nature. Notice the Richardson Wonder Pond is almost full to the brink... too much more rain, which is surely coming and it might just go over the top of the dam... I think that would be a first... It does look so much nicer with a little water in it tho... Has to be said... I wonder how long it will last this time? If this weather continues... who knows...

Gotta go get the Fam ready for church... more later.

Awe Inspiring Rainbow....

Here is a picture of nature at its best. This rainbow was absolutely awesome, it came on the tail end of all the rain we've had over the past two days. I wish we could have got the whole thing in one frame, but this was the best we could do. Pretty sure, Misty and Jake will be blogging this also, they probably beat me getting it posted, but that's okay it was totally over my house... to bad, no pot of gold tho'.

The Haunted House Widow...

So many years ago... okay not so many, there was this woman that became a widow each haunted house season... which would start the end of July and proceed all the way through till the second week of November (clean up, ya know)... With the sale of said haunted house, shouts of joy were heard near and far, at home and in the town of the "Widow" for she was thinking "Widow no More!!!"... what a silly, silly woman... Now for shorter periods of time she is a Widow once more as her sweet and ultra talented spouse goes off to far off cities... ok, Omaha... for consultant work on a Haunted House... and there is talk... and at this point I'm pretty sure it's just talk of a NEW and IMPROVED Haunted House coming to a town near you... well that is, if you live in or around KC, MO... of course I might be single in the near future if that were to occur... I won't really be quite that unhappy... heck I put up with it for almost 20 years, and made some dear, dear friends because of the last one, and had a ton of fun on occasion, so I'm sure I would survive a new one, even if it makes me a little crazy (ok, a lot crazy, and a little weepy and blue too)... and leaves me as the HH WIDOW for months on end... oh well... more later.

Ashelyn's Dresses...

Here we go... this is much better. Real camera and all. Three down and the forth dress is in the works. I think little miss thang likes dresses. She got all smiley while we were trying them on for the final fitting. She is so much fun... kinda like playing dress up with barbies.
