Cute Little Drawer Ornament...

While Misty and I were making Ham and Cheese Rolls
Mister Gid thought he would become a drawer ornament.
I don't think you can tell, but he had to climb up into this drawer.
What a silly little man.

Pretty much he was just chucking things out of the drawer.
I think he was trying to help me organize my drawers.

So what is this? Do you really need to save this?
I don't think so!

Brent's Nativity...

"Away in a manger no crib for a bed,
the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head."

This season fills my heart with wonder and awe...
I am so thankful for the knowledge we share.

May your Christmas be filled with peace, wonder, joy and awe.
We love you and are blessed to have you in our lives.
The Richardsons

It's Christmas Time...

I Love Christmas!
Here's our tree... Brent says
I'm crazy because I like to coordinate
my gifts with my tree. So, doesn't everyone?
... more later.

I Love to dress the mantle!
ps... Renee, check out the little plates.

Here's a close up... cool how the decorations
go so prettily with the temple picture, huh?

Here is mister man, checkin' things out.

No... I'm not touching anything...

Well... maybe I'll just gently touch.

Okay... so I really wanted to hold it...
Is that a problem?

Thanksgiving Thoughts....

We had such a pleasant day yesterday. It seems like on most days someone is gone doing something with someone else; better, or funnier, or prettier, or just pretty much more than us. Well not yesterday. We had everyone home; Misty, Jake, Gideon & Tamra spent the day with us. Dinner was a huge success and a joint effort. Misty cooked her little heart out. Brent and I made the turkey & a bunch of other whatnot, gotta love that turkey & whatnot... not many left overs, makes me a little sad. We ate at One'ish and then the kids played or attempted to play Risk. I'm not sure who was victorious, but they sure made a lot of noise and seemed to have a blast. I think Brent watched like a dozen movies in his Man Lair. Oh... and I have never seen Gid eat so much... it was hilarious... he would grunt or growl or pull on Misty... We were all laughing. Jake had to start helping feed him so Misty could get in a few bites as well. Anywho, it was such a nice dinner, and I have to say it's not true... many cooks don't spoil the whatever... they lighten the load. Thank you to everyone that assisted making yesterday a wonderful peaceful meal & day. I love you all.

Handsome Gid...

One handsome little man rockin' out...

This rocker is just my size...

Getting ready for the dismount...

Yeah, so I'm big and I can get in Grampa's rocker...

What do you mean I need to sit down...

Well... this is as close as I can get... give a boy a break!

I told you I didn't want to sit down... I was having fun.

Mister Man...

So Mister Man thinks he needs to help in Grandma's Pantry. I think he was pretty much lounging here... the little goofball.

He was pretty much helping himself... rearranging things as he saw fit. He is such a funny little man. He makes me giggle.

Mayer's Christmas Tree Lane Lighting Ceremony...

Zach and the Kearney High School Chamber Choir sang at the Mayer's Christmas Tree Lane Lighting Ceremony. They were the third group to perform, I guess they left the best for last.... Too bad they only sang four songs, they were awesome. The Assistant Mayer even gave them a plug for their trip to New York to sing at Carnegie Hall.
Here is a sweet picture of Gideon and Misty, taken while waiting to hear Uncle Zach sing... He sure loves his momma.
Brent snapped this shot while Gideon and I were snuggling to stay warm. I even liked it and that is rare.... Do you see those wrinkles though... Where the heck did they come from???

Grampa and Gideon hangin' out and listenin' to the tunes. They're both pretty studdly... don't cha just love 'em?

I loved this picture... I love these three to pieces.

Here is the another shot Grampa shot of Gideon and Gramma. I love his little pink button "Rudolf" nose... lucky me, mine usually looks like that too... not near as cute on a full size nose.

It was a fun evening... maybe later when we are better prepared we will walk Christmas Tree Lane. ie... warm shoes and a stroller. It was beautiful... for some reason we didn't get any pictures of the trees. We did get a super cute picture of Gid with Santa (first one ever)... I've been forbidden to blog it.... hmmm... How come even though we took the picture, someone else gets to blog it... I guess just because she's his momma, she rules... hmmm.... go figure. It was a fun evening, even if our feet were cold and wet.... look for pictures of Gid with Santa coming soon to a blog you know and love.

I Love Them Anyway...

I love my Chiefs anyway... I hated that they couldn't hold it together.... more later.... hmmm.... what am I doing up on that big screen? I was bad and went to the Chiefs... had a blast, didn't even cheat on our diet... sitting in our seats in the end zone, behind the band.... and a lady comes up and asks if I would like to take the Price Chopper Challenge... I wasn't even paying attention... well as you can imagine... BJ says sure she would... next thing I know I am walking along the sidelines, ducking under network cameras, and heading off to do something... then they stick a huge, and I do mean huge, camera right in front of my face and tell me what I need to do to win $100 gift certificate to Price Chopper.... it sounded all good, I had it figured out, then the camera started rolling... nice shot of me saying GOOOOO Chiefs! I'm a goober... anywho, I couldn't get my cards situated since they were bigger than me, so I went with the first card.... missed it by that much... took home a $25 gift card any way... oh and this lovely shot BJ took... fun fun.

Pretty sure BJ's favorite shot is the Cheerleaders... our seats are right there, up close and personal with them. He's pretty sure they all want him to be their boyfriend... could be right???

It was a fun game... even though the Chiefs stunk big time... I mean come on, two turnovers in less than 8 seconds or some nonsense like that.

A Time for Thanksgiving...

I hate that they rush us through Thanksgiving... right on into Christmas... and I truly love Christmas, but I have so very much to be thankful for. I am so thankful for Brent and love him dearly, he supports me through think and thin (and I do mean thick... at least for now... he he), all of my wonderful, unique, and super awesome children (I love them each to pieces); for the world's best son-in-law (even though he teases me unmercifully, gosh I love him like my own and he is now); for my sweet, sweet Gideon (his smile has sure got me through some difficult times); for my parents, my sisters, and my brothers, each and everyone of them; for the wonderful, inspiring women I serve with in YW; for the young women, who are much more valiant than I can ever hope to be; for the leaders of the church, both in Kearney and throughout the world, our dear Prophet and Apostles; for the young boy of fourteen who knew to search for more; for our troops both hear and abroad, past and present, that serve our country without fail sometimes even unto death; for our missionaries who are willing to sacrifice for the Lord; and last but certainly not least, I am so very thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and the wonders that he so willingly unfolded for each and every one of us.

I love Thanksgiving... it should never be lost in the bustle of shopping, that they push earlier and earlier each year.

Grandma Loves Her Gideon Time....

I'm not even sure where time has gone. Our Gideon is 10 months old and I can't believe it.

He is such a little man.

You can see he will be a lady killer.

In the blink of an eye life happens. I am so very thrilled & thankful to be the grandmother of such a wonderful little boy that never fails to bring me joy. I sure do love taking his photo, he has so much character and it is growing every day.

Silly Boy...

So yes... I stole this picture from Misty also... but hey, if they're on my computer and not in use, they're mine. I love this silly little boy. We have so much fun with him and he is just full of it. I think he gets it from both dad and mom... poor child... he will get in so much trouble at school... maybe his twinkling smile will get him out of a bind or two.

Front Office Fun at Work....

So here is a silly picture of everyone except the President, Sr. VP of Marketing & the Chairman of ACT that work in the front office. Starting on the left we have: Tim Zeyer, Sr. VP & CFO; Phil Wilt, VP of Human Resources; Susan Buckman, HR Assistant; Wayne Anderson, VP of Operations; Me, Admin Assistant to the Sr. Officers; and last but certainly not least, Robert Kretsinger, Sr. VP and CIO.

This year for Halloween we had a departmental theme for our costume contest... seeing as the officers vote for the winner... we were not even up for contention... but we sure had fun. Tom Kretsinger, Sr., our Chairman, is 78 and he didn't think he was up for costumes... he's a good sport anyway and told us all what we did wrong... he he he. We love him. Tom Jr., our President... forgot... he tried to tell us in the late 50's they wore khaki's and oxford shirts... yeah whatever... he forgot... kinda the absent minded professor... fitting because in addition to being our President and an attorney... he is also a professor of law at William Jewell College. Bill Kretsinger, our Sr. VP of Marketing, was out of town so he was forgiven as well. We sure had a great time and this is they very first time in 5 years we were able to get the officers to dress up for Halloween... We thought they rocked.
